Evening Speaker: Dieter Brunsch

VP Customer Service & Risk Management - Workers' Compensation Board - Alberta

Dieter Brunsch is a native Edmontonian who graduated from the University of Alberta with Bachelors degrees in Arts and Commerce, majoring in economics.

Dieter joined the WCB in 1979 and has progressed through a variety or roles with increasing levels of responsibility to his current role as Vice President of Customer Service and Risk Management.

In 1996 he was accepted into the Queen’s University Executive program and subsequently attended the Richard Ivey School of business for studies in marketing. In 1999, he participated in a three-month executive exchange with Syncrude Canada where he was exposed to the many facets of managing the business of oil-sand mining, extraction and upgrading.

Dieter currently serves as Treasurer of the Job Safety Skills Society, Chair of the Enform Safety Council, Vice President of the Edmonton Meals on Wheels Society and is a member of the advisory committee for the Engineering Safety and Risk Management program at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Engineering.

Entertainment Spotlight: Get Ready for Scratch Improv!

Scratch Improv have been performing shows around the world for the last 6 years. They have toured Canada and Europe multiple times and made appearances at the Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festivals in Australia as well as the New Zealand Comedy Festival. This year they were nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Improv Troupe in the country.
